Late Goals Lift Indiana over No. 21 Rutgers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– After three quarters of stellar defensive play, Indiana and No. 21 Rutgers were scoreless in Bloomington.
Indiana got what it needed most –––– a late-game scoring burst –––– from sophomores Sofia Arrebola Garcia and Yip van Wonderen scoring at the 54th and 56th minute, respectively, to give the Hoosiers the 2-0 victory.
Indiana's win over No. 21 Rutgers marked the team's first ranked win and first Big Ten win of the season. It was also the Hoosiers' first win over Rutgers since 2016.
The win improves Indiana's overall record to 8-4 and 1-1 in the Big Ten.

• Rutgers had two chances at the end of the first half as the Scarlet Knights took two shots on goal within the final minute of the half, sophomore goalkeeper Arabella Loveridge made back-to-back saves.
