Hoosiers Battle Cardinals to 0-0 Draw

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Indiana women's soccer team (1-0-4) battled to a 0-0 draw against the Louisville Cardinals (3-1-2) on Thursday night at Dr Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.
 
KEY MOMENTS
• Indiana saw their first opportunity from senior forward Paige Webber in the 27th minute before it was saved by Louisville's goalie Erynn Floyd.
• After subbing in the 36th minute, freshman midfielder Izzy Smith had a strong shot at the center of the goal before it was caught by Floyd once again.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Jamie Gerstenberg picked up a save in the 39th minute to keep the match tied as the Cardinals had the last attempt before the half.
• Louisville attacked first in the second half before it went back-and-forth between the Hoosiers and Cards. Gerstenberg picked up two big saves in the 69th and 81st minutes to keep the game tied up.
• In the 79th minute, the Hoosiers saw another attempt from Webber to score, before being pounced on by the goalie.
• Indiana received the last attempt in the 88th minute from freshman Abbey Iler but couldn't get it behind the net before the goalie dived for the save.

• The Hoosiers are now 2-0-2 in the series against the Cardinals.
• Indiana earned its fourth draw of the season in just five games.
• Gerstenberg tallied four saves on the night and earned her fifth shutout game of the season and 14th on her career.
• Webber led the Hoosiers in shots with three, two of those on goal.
• Indiana was outshot 11-6 in the match with the Cardinals putting five shots on goal.
