No. 13 Indiana Sweeps Action At Hoosier Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 13 Indiana wrapped up play at its own Hoosier Invite with wins over McKendree (20-6) and Marist (12-9) at Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center on Sunday.
KEY MOMENTS
- In the first game of day two for the Hoosiers, freshman Goalkeeper Jasmine Higgs found senior defender Lana Debow for a last second goal against McKendree. Indiana took a big lead early, leading 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.
- Higgs protected the goal well in the first half before junior goalkeeper Haley Hunter took over for the second half. Higgs only allowed one goal and dished out two assists to Debow and junior defender Kallie White added two goals.
- Facing off against Marist in the last match of the Hoosier Invite, Skylar Kidd leads all scorers at the half with three goals as her team built a 9-4.
- Goals from White, Sophia Sollie, and Grace Klingler extended the Hoosiers' lead in the third quarter, 12-5. Indiana withstood a comeback attempt by the Red Foxes but despite four unanswered goals, it was able to pull off the weekend sweep.
NOTES
- 12 Hoosiers scored goals in the matchup against McKendree, including a hat trick from Megan Holcomb.
- Mary Askew had seven saves in the final game against Marist.
- SKylar Kidd won all five of her sprints in the two matches on day two.
- The Hoosiers improve to 6-2 overall on the season and 0-1 MPSF play.

Indiana will hit the road and travel to San Diego, California for the UCSD Triton Invitational February 3-5.
