IUXC Men Finish Second, Women 16th at Arturo Barrios Invitational

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – In their final race of the regular season, the Indiana cross country team ran 16 personal bests at the Arturo Barrio Invitational at Watts Cross Country Course on Friday morning.
The men finished in second out of 39 teams with Tulane earning the win. The women were 16th out of 41 teams.
Sophomore Camden Marshall (23:35.0), graduate Austin Haskett (23:38.9), sophomore Abe Eckman (23:44.4), and graduate Skylar Stidman (23:52.7) earned top-25 finishes as they crossed the line each with a new personal best.
Junior Martin Segurola (24:10.9) shaved 0:30 seconds off his time as he finished in the top-50 with a personal best time of 24:10.9.
Senior Mariah Wehrle was the top-finisher in the women's 6k with a time of 20:50.1 in her second race of the season.
Phoebe Bates (20:55.5) was the second Hoosiers to cross the line. She finished in 72nd place while freshman Lily Myers (21:09.2) and Tori Schmidt (21:09.4) crossed the line back-to-back shaving 0:30 seconds off their times for new personal bests.
