Men Finish Eighth, Women 11th at the Big Ten Cross Country Championships

MADISON, Wis. – The Indiana cross country teams finish eighth (men) and 11th (women) in the Big Ten Cross Country Championships at Thomas Zimmerman Cross Country Course on Friday.
Graduate student Austin Haskett and sophomore Abe Eckman had a pair of top-25 finishes in the men's 8k race. Eckman finished in 22nd with a time 25:01.0. Haskett crossed the line with a time of 25:03.3 to finish 24th overall.
On the women's side, freshman Lily Myers led the team finishing 54th in the 6k race with a time of 22:32.1 in her first championship appearance. Senior Phoebe Bates (56., 22:34.4) and freshman Grace Tyson (58., 22:38.0) crossed the line shortly behind.

Indiana will return back to Madison, Wis., for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in two weeks to attempt to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships (Nov. 10).
