Hoosiers Finish 10th in Loxley

LOXLEY, Ala. – The Indiana men's golf team closed the fall portion of the schedule with a 10th-place finish at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational over the weekend. The Hoosiers shot an 886 (296-295-294; +22).

Top Indiana Player: Noah Gillard – 218 (70-73-75; +2)
CHIP-INS
• Sixth-year senior Noah Gillard tied for 20th in the player standings after shooting a 218 (70-73-75; +2). He converted a team-best 14 birdies over the duration of the tournament, including six in the opening round.
• Senior Drew Salyers played a scorecard of 219 (74-73-72; +3). The Howard, Ohio, native played nine total birdies and a pair of eagles in the event. He was one of nine players in the field to make at least two eagles.
• Freshman Cole Starnes finished the event at 220 (75-73-72; +4). He played 11 birdies overall and added an eagle conversion.
• Graduate Thomas Hursey shot a 230 (78-77-75; +14), including eight birdie conversions.
• Competing as an individual, freshman Nick Piesen finished the event at 233 (76-79-78; +17). He played two birdies in each of the three rounds.
• Redshirt junior Robert Bender III turned in a scorecard reading 234 (81-76-77; +18). Bender compiled eight birdies and an eagle over the weekend.
