
No. 17 Indiana Returns Home For ALS Awareness Game Against Stetson

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Fans are encouraged to wear red to support ALS Awareness as No. 17 Indiana comes back to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Sunday against Stetson.

Stetson picked up its second win of the season on Thursday against Webber International, a NAIA school, 83-37. Their only other win was against Iona earlier this season (Nov. 18). Freshman guard Anna Kunzwiler comes off the bench to lead the Hatters with 14.0 ppg. while redshirt senior guard Jamiya Turner adds 12.1 ppg., 5.0 rpg. and senior guard Jordan Peete averages 10.0 ppg. They are averaging 59.0 points per game and shooting 36.4 percent from the floor.

- Indiana will play its annual ALS Awarness game on Sunday, a meaning that is special to 10th year head coach Teri Moren. Moren lost her mother, Barbara, to ALS in 2014 and is an advocate for ALS Awareness in the community. Wear red to support ALS Awareness and Coach Moren's late mother, Barbara Moren.
- Graduate student forward Mackenzie Holmes dazzled a hometown crowd with 22 points on 9-for-11 shooting as she helped IU come from behind to defeat Maine at Cross Insurance Arena on Thursday. Senior guard Sydney Parrish added a double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) and senior guard Sara Scalia also notched double figures (10 points).
- Parrish does a little bit of everything for the Hoosiers again this season. In her second year with the program, the Fisher, Ind. native is currently averaging 8.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and holds a +2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio.
- The Hoosiers are averaging 20.6 assists through eight games, putting up 20 or more assists in six of seven games this season. senior guard Chloe Moore-McNeil (4.6) and sophomore guard Yarden Garzon (4.1) and lead the way in distribution.
