CLEARWATER, Fla. – Sophomore pitcher Brianna Copeland threw her first career no-hitter as the Hoosiers (2-0) defeated Prairie View A&M, 5-1, on Friday afternoon at Eddie C. Moore Complex.

KEY MOMENTS
• Copeland held the Hoosier defense strong as she sent the
• The third inning proved to be the turning point as the Hoosiers scored all five of their runs on four hits.
• Senior utility Cora Bassett singled to left field before junior Brooke Benson doubled to
Benson sent a double to the left side for 2 RBI's.
• Sophomore Taylor Minnick doubled to left field to send Benson home, 3-1.
• The Hoosiers would take the 4-0 lead after freshman Avery Parker singled to right field and advanced to third on an error by the Panthers to score Minnick.
• Indiana would score off another error from the Panther's as Parker extended the lead, 5-0.
• PVAMU scored in the top of the sixth after capitalizing on errors, but Copeland would shut down the inning, striking out the next batter.

• The Hoosiers advance to 2-0 for the first time since 2019 when the Hoosiers won 14 straight games.
