Indiana Women’s Tennis Tops Xavier in Close Battle

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - In a tight battle with the Musketeers, Indiana women's tennis pulled out another victory by a score of 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at the IU Tennis Center.

Lara Schneider and Saby Nihalani went down to the wire at No. 1 doubles to earn the doubles point in a 7-6 match.

The duo won both of their singles matches as well to give Indiana an imposing lead. Schneider won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-2, while Nihalani won at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-1.

Mila Mejic's win at No. 4 singles, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2, was enough to clinch the team victory for the Hoosiers.

Indiana has now won two of its last three matches and improves to 5-2 on the season.
