No. 4/5 Indiana Visits Purdue On Sunday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The first of a pair of meetings between in-state rivals is set for Sunday afternoon when No. 4/5 Indiana takes on Purdue at 2 p.m. ET inside Mackey Arena.

Fifth year Lasha Petree leads her team with 13.9 points per game while two others average double figures in senior Abbey Ellis (11.9 ppg.) and redshirt senior Cailtyn Harper (11.1 ppg.). The Boilers average 72.9 points per game while shooting 46.2 percent.

- Indiana has won seven-straight in the series against Purdue and 10 of the last 11 dating back to the 2017-18 season. The two teams will not compete for the annual Barn Burner Trophy in the first meeting this season, as the trophy will be up for grabs in Bloomington on Feb. 19.
- IU's win streak was extended to nine on Wednesday as it picked up a 77-54 victory at Minnesota. Senior forward Mackenzie Holmes had 28 points while junior guard Sydney Parrish chipped in 23 points. The Hoosiers went 50.8 percent from the floor and dished out 21 assists on 31 made shots. Senior guard Sara Scalia also added 10 points off the bench in the win.
- As a team, the Hoosiers are ranked among some of the best nationally. Their 50.6 field goal percentage is second in the country, followed by three other Top 6 marks. They are fourth in scoring margin (+21.6), fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.48) and sixth in assists per game (18.9).
- Senior forward Mackenzie Holmes was named to the 2023 Lisa Leslie Award Top 10 on Friday. The award honors the nation's top center. She has scored in double figures in all 22 games for IU this season and is the league's second leading scorer with 22.3 points per game.
