Hoosiers Fall to Terps in Close Match

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's tennis fell in a close match against the Maryland Terrapins, 4-3, at the IU Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Terps won the doubles point with wins on court one and three as the teams headed into singles matches.
The teams went back and forth, trading points. The Hoosiers got a jump start to their scoring from freshman Nicole Teodosescu and redshirt-junior Mila Mejic who won the No. 5 and No. 3 singles in straight sets.
Later, sophomore Lara Schneider and redshirt-junior Rose Hu were still battling as IU was down 3-2. Schneider clinched the win in No. 1 singles to even the score at 3-3, but Hu would fall short 6-4 in the third set.
