BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – There will be no rest for the weary, as the Indiana baseball program begins its busiest week of the season with two midweek contests in front of a home midweek series.
The week starts with Indiana (25-11) hosting No. 10/13 Louisville (26-9) on ESPNU at 6 p.m. on Tuesday (April 18). The Hoosiers will then hit the road on Wednesday (April 19) for a 6 p.m. first pitch at Cincinnati (15-22).

- Indiana and Louisville will meet for the 55th time on Tuesday evening on ESPNU with IU holding a 28-26 edge in the all-time series. Against Cincinnati, the Hoosiers are 22-12 overall in the series that dates back to 1900.

Louisville
- Louisville enters the weekend at 26-9 overall with an 8-7 record in ACC play. The Cardinals are 18-2 in non-conference play and own a 3-4 record on the road in 2023.
- Jack Payton paces the team with a .390 batting average and 27 RBIs, while Christian Knapczyk is hitting .328 with a team-best 30 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.
- As a team, Louisville is hitting .294, while opponents hit just .228 against the Cardinal pitching staff. The pitching staff has walked just 153 to 329 strikeouts on the year.
- Cincinnati owns a 15-22 overall record and sit at 3-6 in AAC action. The Bearcats were swept last weekend at ECU, after a midweek extra-inning win over Miami (Ohio).
- Ryan Nicholson leads the team at the plate with a .290 batting average, 40 hits and nine home runs. His 23 RBIs are No. 2 on the squad behind Kameron Guidry's 25.
- The pitching staff has walked 180 and hit 60 batters through 37 games to equate to 6.5 free base runners per game.

- Tuesday's meeting marks the 55th meeting between the two programs, with Indiana holding the slip 28-26 edge all-time.
- The first meeting came on March 1, 1937, a 6-2 victory for Indiana. The Hoosiers won a 14-3 contest later that season, as well.
- IU has won eight of the last 13 meetings, spanning 2013 to present, while Louisville won 11 of 13 games from 2007-12
- Over 34 previous meetings, Indiana leads the all-time series, 22-12, with three straight wins entering Wednesday's matchup.
- IU is 9-3 in games played at Cincinnati, with two of those coming in its last three trips to the Queen City.
- Over the last six games between the two programs, six of those have been decided by five-or-more runs and each team has been shutout once over that span.
