
Indiana Men’s Tennis Drops Match at No. 49 Wisconsin

MADISON, WIS. –––– Indiana lost a tough battle to No. 49 Wisconsin, 6-1, on Sunday at Nielsen Tennis Center.
The match started with a hard-fought doubles point for the Badgers. Wisconsin opened with a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles and No. 3 and No. 1 doubles followed with very close finishes.
Wisconsin's Robin Parts and Sebastian Vile won at No. 3 doubles, 7-6 (7-4) and No. 1 doubles went unfinished, but was also playing in the tiebreaker when the Badgers clinched the doubles point.
The Badgers carried their momentum into singles, winning at No. 6, 1 and 4 singles to clinch the match.
Indiana's Sam Landau won his match at No. 3 singles over Wisconsin's Sebastian Vile, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 to improve to 12-1 on the year in singles play.
Wisconsin closed the day with wins at No. 2 and 5 singles.
With the loss, Indiana's season record drops to 12-10 and 1-4 in conference play.
Indiana will be back in action next weekend on Saturday, April 15 for a home match vs. Michigan at noon at the IU Tennis Center.
