Tatum Takes Control in Sweep of Stetson

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - A comfortable Friday morning saw the Indiana Volleyball team (7-3, 0-0) sweep Stetson (25-12, 25-17, 25-10) in straight sets at the James L. Knight Sports Complex.
The Hoosiers hit .341 as a team while holding Stetson to a combined .029 offensively including a measly -.125 (5-8-24) in the final set.
Sophomore opposite hitter Avry Tatum hit .667 (11-1-15) while senior middle blocker Savannah Kjolhede (.667, 6-0-9) produced an errorless morning in the middle.
IU will return to action this evening with a match against the host Miami at 7:00 PM.

Team
• The Hoosiers hit .341 as a team (43-14-85), the fourth time the program has hit over .300 collectively this season.
• IU had 11 aces, led by a team-high five from junior setter Camryn Haworth. The Hoosiers have now had 10+ aces on four occasions this season and have at least five in eight-consecutive games.
• All seven of IU's wins have come by sweep. Opponents have only gotten to 20 points once in the last 12 sets.
#13 Tatum, Avry
• The Cincinnati transfer returned to the starting lineup in a big way, putting away 11 kills with just one error on 15 swings.
• Friday morning marked her second match of the season with double-digit kills and was just one off her season high of 12 (vs. Radford).
#10 Haworth, Camryn
• IU's junior setter finished with 25 assists, five digs, five blocks and five aces, helping to lead six different athletes to five-or-more kills.
• Her five aces extended her active streak of matches with at least one kill to 13, dating back to 2022. She now has seven matches with at least two aces this year. Her five aces were her most since recording six at Wisconsin last season.
#11 Vickers, Ava
• The freshman played an important role off the bench, subbing in to record a career-high six kills.
• She added an additional three blocks and two digs in the three-set victory.

• IU jumped all over Stetson from the jump, hitting .500 in the opening set behind five kills from graduate student middle blocker Kaley Rammelsberg.
• The Hoosiers started the match on a 5-0 run, paced by a run of three-straight kills from Rammelsberg.
• Vickers subbed in for Rammelsberg at the end of the set and continued where she left off, putting away three of the final four points in the set.
Set 2: Indiana 25, Stetson 17
• IU racked up five aces in the second frame, including three from Haworth, to take firm control of the Friday morning match.
• Kjolhede provided four kills on the frame in six errorless swings while also recording a solo block of the Hatters.
• IU closed the set on a 7-4 run, paced by a strong run of serve from Tatum and a kill from Kjolhede.

• IU hit .429 in the final set and allowed Stetson to hit just -.125 (5-8-24) across the final 35 points as IU closed out the match in straight sets.
• Tatum unleashed her heavy arm on the right side to the tune of six kills on seven swings. Haworth blocked three shots in the final set while also assisting on nine points.
• The Hoosiers went on a 8-0 run behind a strong run of serve from Kjolhede and redshirt freshman setter Natalia Hagopian.
• Tatum had IU's final four kills on the afternoon in a productive day for the sophomore from Solana Beach, Calif.
