Hoosiers Finish Up Weekend in Boston

BOSTON, Ma. – The Hoosiers closed out the weekend at the John Thomas Terrier Classic track meet with a couple of personal bests on Saturday at Boston's Track and Tennis Center.
In the 3000 meter, Mariah Wehrle led the race with a top-20 finish. Freshman Lily Myers had a good race in her first collegiate 3k race with a time of 9:38.60. Katelyn Winton rounded out the group finishing in 39th with a time of 9:53.48.
The men's distance squad ran their first DMR of the season clocking a time of 9:44.58, the second fastest on the day.
Phoebe Bates finished the 5000-meter race with a top-25 finish. She ran a time of 16:44.64 to lead the Hoosiers. Tori Schmidt ended the two-day meet on a high note with a personal best time of 17:22.04.
Up next, Indiana will compete at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational from Feb. 2-3.
