Two More Wins For No. 16 Indiana Over Saint Francis, No. 22 LIU

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – No. 16 Indiana improved to 4-0 after its opening weekend with wins over Saint Francis and No. 22 LIU on Sunday at the Wolverine Invitational.

KEY MOMENTS VS. SAINT FRANCIS
- Indiana jumped out to a two-goal lead early in the opening quarter before the Red Foxes got on the board. But a 4-0 run pushed the Hoosiers' lead to 7-1 after one.
- Sollie went back-to-back to help Indiana push its lead to 10-0 early in the second quarter and fired off three goals in the final 2:13 of action to take a 13-4 lead at intermission.
- Seven more goals went on the board in the third for IU, as graduate student Zoe Crouch notched a hat trick with 3:01 left on the clock. A pair of freshmen got on the board in the fourth as Natalie McCarroll and Gwenyth Le all tossed in goals as Indiana cruised to a 23-9 win.
KEY MOMENTS VS. LIU
- Indiana took a 4-1 lead as Kidd notched a hat trick in the first quarter alone on three-straight goals. LIU came within one in the second quarter but Kidd's fourth goal and a shot in the net from sophomore Louisa Downes made it a 6-3 lead at the break.
- The Sharks struck first in the third, but back-to-back goals from sophomore Grace Hathaway and Nicole Tyner pushed IU's lead to four.
- Indiana's defense held LIU to just one goal in the fourth quarter as Tyner, Kidd and Hathaway all found the back of the net again to come away with the 11-6 victory.
NOTES
- Five players scored two or more goals against Saint Francis, led by four from Crouch who also tallied six total points (two assists). Sollie and Kidd each had hat tricks.
- Sophomore Grace Klingler led the way with three assists while three others added two each.
- Sophomore Jasmine Higgs and senior Haley Hunter split time in goal against the Red Foxes, combining for six saves total.
- Kidd led the way against the Sharks with five goals and sophomore Louisa Downes had six points including a team-high five assists.
- Higgs picked up both wins in goal for the day and all four for the weekend.
