BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – A battle of a pair of teams at the top of the Big Ten standings is on deck for No. 14 Indiana against Michigan on Thursday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

Michigan improved to 2-0 in Big Ten play with a win over then No. 17 Ohio State at home on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore guard Laila Phelia averages a team-high 15.1 points per game while graduate student guard Lauren Henson adds 11.6 points per outing. The Wolverines are just 2-1 on the road this season with its only loss at Toledo on Dec. 6.

- The Hoosiers shot 51.9 percent from the floor backed by 30 points from graduate student forward Mackenzie Holmes in a 77-71 win over Illinois. Senior guard Chloe Moore-McNeil tied a career-high 19 points while sophomore guard Yarden Garzon added 12 points.
- Indiana has won four of the last five meetings in the series between the two teams, including the first sweep of a two-game season series since 2009. The Hoosiers have also won seven of the last 11 in the series, dating back to the 2015-16 season.
- With a win on Sunday, IU extend its win streak to 10 games, tied for the eighth-longest win streak in school history. The current program record stands at 15 games which was set in the 1971-72 season.
- With Holmes' 30-point effort against Illinois, the Hoosiers have had a player score 30 or more points in the last three games. It's the first time the program has put three-straight players scoring 30 or more. Senior guard Sara Scalia (32) and Garzon (30) each notched 30 or more points in wins over Bowling Green and Evansville, respectively.
- Senior guard Sara Scalia has had the hot hand from 3-point range this season. The Stillwater, Minn. native has a team-high 35 3-pointers while shooting a league-best 46.1 percent from beyond the arc. Her clip is 23rd in the nation as she currently averages 2.9 triples per game, which puts her on pace to break the single season record for 3-pointers (Amanda Cahill in 2017-18 - 78).
