LOS ANGELES — Friday (Oct. 25) night's Top 25 matchup marks the first-ever Big Ten Conference meeting between Indiana and league newcomer UCLA – the two winningest programs in NCAA Division I men's soccer: UCLA by total number of victories (1,026) and Indiana by percentage (.723).
Kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. ET at Wallis Annenberg Stadium, and fans can watch on the Big Ten Network.
KICKING OFF
• Indiana has built a four-match winning streak and seven-match unbeaten streak (5-0-2) coming into Friday's matchup. The Hoosiers have scored multiple goals in each game of the unbeaten run, IU's longest such multi-goal stretch since 2001.
• Graduate forward Justin Weiss was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, and junior defender Quinton Elliot was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. Both players tallied three G/A last week as Indiana outscored No. 18 Michigan and Michigan State 8-1.
ABOUT THE BRUINS
• UCLA is undefeated in four matches during the month of October, with a 2-0-2 record this month. That includes a 2-1 win over No. 2 Ohio State and a 1-1 draw at No. 6 Maryland on Monday.
• The Bruins are led by sixth-year head coach Ryan Jorden, who has compiled a 47-37-17 record during his time in Los Angeles.
• UCLA had the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week (Wyatt Nelson) and Big Ten Freshman of the Week (Tamir Ratoviz).

• The two teams last met in 2019, when Jack Maher scored a 104th-minute golden goal to give Indiana a 2-1 victory. Since then, Maher was drafted into Major League Soccer, and his two younger brothers – Joey Maher and Josh Maher – have come through the program. Josh has started 14 of 15 matches as a freshman this season.
• In the previous meeting in 2013, IU set an attendance record at Bill Armstrong Stadium, welcoming 7,720 fans to its home ground. The Hoosiers fell in overtime, 1-0.
• Indiana and UCLA have met in the NCAA Tournament four times; three times in the semifinals (1994, 1997 1999) and once in the quarterfinals (2003). IU won three of those matches, twice on its way to national championships (1999, 2003).
