TEAM
• Indiana is 19-50-2 all-time against Michigan State.
• IU is 16-50-1 in Old Brass Spittoon games, with three-straight wins in East Lansing.
• The three-straight victories in East Lansing mark the longest road winning streak since winning three straight from 1967-69.
• The 47 points scored are the most by IU in series history and the 37-point victory is the largest by an IU team over MSU. The previous high was 46 points scored (2001) and a 31-point margin (31-0; 1991).
• Indiana used 47 unanswered points after Michigan State took a 10-0 lead. The 47-unanswered points are believed to be a program record.
• Indiana starts a season 9-0 for the first time in program history and ties the most wins in a single season in program history (1945, 1967).
• A 6-0 start in Big Ten play marks the best six-game start to a conference slate and tie for most B1G wins in program history (1967, 1987, 2020).
• With his ninth win in 2024, head coach Curt Cignetti set the program record for wins by a first-year head coach, passing James M. Sheldon (8 wins; 1905).
• The nine-game winning streak is the longest streak in program history. The previous record was eight consecutive games in the 1945 and 1967 seasons.
• Indiana's game captains were: DL James Carpenter, RB Justice Ellison, OL Mike Katic.
• Michigan State won the coin toss and deferred the opening kickoff. Indiana received the opening kick.
• One true freshman made their collegiate debut to make the season total 12 true freshmen to debut in 2024. Quentin Clark was the lone true freshman to debut at Michigan State.
• The double-digit win extends Indiana's program-record streak to nine-straight games winning by 10-plus points.
• WIth 47 points scored, Indiana now has a program-record seven games of 40-plus points in 2024.
• Indiana's 55 offensive touchdowns on the season are its most since 2013 (61).
• The 31 rushing touchdowns are the most in a season since 2001 (33; 12 games).
• Michigan State's minus-36 rushing yards are the fewest allowed by an Indiana defense in program history. The previous mark was minus-32 yards against William & Mary in 2002.
• The rushing mark gives IU six games holding the opponent under 100-yards rushing, to tie the 1990 squad for the most such games in a single season since at least 1950.
• With Amare Ferrell's multi-pick game, it is the first time since 2020 that Indiana had a player with multiple interceptions in back-to-back games. That season, Tiawan Mullen (2; at Michigan State) and Jamar Johnson (2; at Ohio State)
• A third-quarter blocked punt gives Indiana multiple blocked punts in a season for the first time since it blocked four punts in 2021.
• The zero sacks allowed in back-to-back Big Ten games mark the first time since 2001 that IU hasn't surrendered a sack in consecutive conference games. IU didn't allow a sack in five-straight games from Sept. 29-Nov. 3, 2001.

• Recorded his first career rushing touchdown on a 16-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Amare Ferrell | DB | So.
• Posted his first career multi-interception game.
• His first was good for a 15-yard return and it was his first since Week 3 at UCLA (9/14).
• The second set up the Indiana offense at the Michigan State 37-yard line and would propel the Hoosiers to a 6-play scoring drive to put Indiana up 21-10 before halftime.

• Pinned one punts inside the 10-yard line for his 23rd career punt downed inside the opponent's 10-yard line.
Rolijah Hardy | LB | Fr.
• Notched a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss.
• Matched a career-high three tackles, last doing so in Week 4 against Charlotte (9/21).
Zach Horton | TE | Sr.
• Caught a 17-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter from Kurtis Rourke.
Isaiah Jones | LB | R-So.
• Combined for his first career sack with Tyrique Tucker in the fourth quarter.
• Tied a career-high 1.0 tackles for loss. He previously did so in Week 4 against Charlotte (9/21).
Mikail Kamara | DL | R-Jr.
• Totaled 4.5 tackles for loss to tie for the third most in a single game in program history and the most since Damian Gregory vs. Michigan State in 1997.
• A career-high 2.5 sacks are tied for No. 6 on the IU single game charts and mark his third-career 2.0-sack game. The single-game total is the highest since Tegray Scales had 3.0 against Penn State in 2017.
• The 2.5 sacks give him 9.5 sacks on the season to move him into a tie for No. 6 on the single-season list with Nick Mangieri (2015).
• Owns at least one tackle in all 32 career appearances.
• Has at least a half a tackle for loss in 29 of 32 career games.

• Had a career-high two tackles.
Ty Son Lawton | RB | R-Sr.+
• Scored a touchdown on a 1-yard run in the second quarter to give Indiana a 14-10 lead.
• Has scored a touchdown in seven of the nine games.
Jacob Mangum-Farrar | DL | R-Sr.+
• Tied a career-high 1.0 sacks. He's done so one other time, logging 1.0 sacks at Arizona State when he played for Stanford in 2021.
• Also tied a career-high 1.0 tackles for loss, recording the mark eight other times from 2021-23.
Nicolas Radicic | K | R-Fr.
• Becomes the single-season record holder for extra points made with 57 on the year. He passed Griffin Oakes (53; 2015) and Mitch Ewald (56; 2013) in the game.
Kurtis Rourke | QB | R-Sr.
• Just the second Big Ten quarterback since 2000 to throw at least 3 touchdown passes in their first three conference road games (Justin Fields, Ohio State; 2020)
• With 263 yards of total offense, moved season total to 2,249 and into No. 20 on the single-season list. He passed Jay Rodgers (2,035; 1997), Tevin Coleman (2,036; 2014), Matt LoVecchio (2,063; 2004), Gibran Hamdan (2,063; 2002), Connor Bazelak (2,152; 2022), Tim Clifford (2,158; 1979) and Dave Schnell (2,184; 1988).
• Pushed season passing yardage total to 2,204 and into No. 18 on the single-season list at IU. He passed Matt LoVecchio (1,951; 2004), Tim Clifford (2,078; 1979), Gibran Hamdan (2,115; 2002) and Jay Rodgers (2,156; 1997).
• Moved his season total to 19 passing touchdowns to tie Richard Lagow (2016) and Petyon Ramsey (2018) for No. 6 on the single season charts. He passed Antwaan Randle El (1999) and Ben Chappell (2009) in the game.
• His 263-yard passing game marks the sixth 200-yard passing game of the season to tie for No. 14 on the career charts with Steve Bradley (1984, 1983); Antwaan Randle El (1999), Gibran Hamdan (2002).
D'Angelo Ponds | DB | So.
• Had his second career punt block and first as a Hoosier when he blocked Ryan Eckley's punt in the third quarter. On the play, Eckley illegally batted the ball to enforce a penalty in the endzone and bring up a safety that extended Indiana's lead to 23-10.
Myles Price | WR | Sr.+
• Hauled in an 18-yard touchdown reception on a pass from Kurtis Rourke in the third quarter.
Elijah Sarratt | WR | Jr.
• Moved his consecutive games with a catch streak to 34-straight games with a 9-yard reception on the games first play.
• Caught a 4-yard touchdown from Kurtis Rourke to put Indiana up 21-10 at halftime.
