Indiana Men’s Tennis Wraps up Play at the Fighting Irish Mini Duals

South Bend, IND. ––––– Indiana Men's Tennis concluded play on Sunday afternoon at the Fighting Irish Mini Duals at the Courtney Tennis Center.
Indiana had four Hoosiers competing in the event over the weekend; Braeden Gelletich, Karan Raghavendra, Nikola Kolyachev, and Matteo Antonescu.
In doubles play, The duo of Gelletich/Raghavendra earned themselves a win in round one, taking down Western Michigan's Adrian Quiros and Alex Antonopoulos, 7-6(2). The duo would follow up with another victory in the second round, defeating Depaul's Sven Moser and Thomas Giles, 6-4.
Nikola Kolyachec and Matteo Antonescu would earn themselves a win in the first round, defeating Notre Dame's Yu Zhang and Jameson Corsillo, 7-6(5).
In Singles play, Braeden Gelletich would display an epic performance over the four rounds. In round one, Braeden Gelletich would take a win over Adrian Quiros in two sets, 6-2, 6-2. In round two, Gelletich would claim another win over Sven Moser, 6-4, 6-1.
In round three, Gelletich would once again claim victory, taking the win over Wisconsin's Sachiv Kumar, 7-6(3), 6-2.
Gelletich would win his fourth and final singles match of the event with a win over Michigan's Alex Cairo in three sets, 7-5, 5-7, 1-0(7).
Indiana will be back in action this weekend when the Hoosiers send players to two different events, the ITA Sectional Championship and the Big Ten Individual Championships.
