Hoosiers Wrap up Regular Indoor Season at Alex Wilson Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Indiana track and field wrapped up the indoor regular season at the Alex Wilson Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame at the Loftus Sports Center.
Camden Marshall, Antonio Laidler, Keefer Soehngen and Austin Haskett ran the program's third fastest Distance Medley Relay with a time of 9:23.41 to open the meet. The Hoosiers are in great position to qualify for the NCAA Championships as they hold the 10th fastest time in the country.
Mariah Wehrle won the Mile race after she ran a personal best time of 4:48.74 while Aidan Lord shaved nearly eight seconds off his time (4:03.07).
On the distance side, Tori Schmidt and Emma Everhart-Deckard ran personal bests in the 3000 meters while Claire Overfelt ran a solid race in her first performance this season.
Hunter Smith and Tyler Reyna had a great day inside the circle each throwing the weight a personal best mark.
Indiana swept the men's pole vault with Nathan Stone holding the top mark of 5.38m/17-07.75. Tyler Carrel finished second as he set a new personal best height of 5.23m/17-01.75.
Up next, the Hoosiers head to the Big Ten Indoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio, on Feb. 23-24.
