BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 15 Indiana earned victories over Cal Baptist (16-7) and Iona (19-5) as it improve to 10-0 on the season on day one of the Indiana Classic.

KEY MOMENTS VS. CAL BAPTIST

Indiana built a first quarter 5-2 lead over the Lancers, as sophomore Sophia Sollie and senior Kiki Mein got things started with the first three goals of the day. Sophomore Nicole Tyner and graduate student Zoe Crouch got in on the first quarter action as well.
Defense stepped up in the second, holding CBU scoreless in the frame as IU added four more to the board to take a 9-2 halftime lead. Sophomore goalie Jasmine Higgs shined in the first half, recording 11 of her 18 saves in the effort in the first 16 minutes.
Sophomore Claire Witting notched the Hoosiers only goal in the third, as Cal Baptist put three on the board, but the lead was secure at 10-4 going to the fourth.
Sollie notched her hat trick just 12 seconds into the fourth quarter while Indiana added six to the scoreboard including a goal from sophomore Megan Holcomb, her second of the season.

KEY MOMENTS VS. IONA

The Gaels got on the board first, but the Hoosiers responded with four-straight goals in the final 3:17of the first quarter - including back-to-back goals from sophomore Louisa Downes - to take a 4-1 lead.
Indiana poured in six more goals in the second quarter, including senior Kallie White's hat trick in the frame and two goals from sophomore Grace Hathaway. It pushed the Hoosiers lead to 10-2 at the break.
Four different players put up goals in the third quarter and the Hoosiers put the foot on the gas in the fourth, scoring five unanswered goals to record its 10^th-straight win.

NOTES

IU improves to 10-0 on the season following Saturday's wins, continuing on the program's best ever start.
Crouch and Sollie led the way for IU against Cal Baptist, each recording a hat trick. Tyner and Kidd each chipped in two goals each.
Crouch led the way with five points as she added two assists in the game one win. Mein and Wazzan each assisted on two goals as well.
Higgs recorded a career-high 18 saves in the victory over the Lancers. She improved to 9-0 in goal this season.
Against Iona, the Hoosiers were led in scoring by four goals from White and a hat trick from Downes.
Crouch combined for five points with a pair of goals and a team-high three assists while also picking up a pair of steals.
Four different Hoosiers picked up three steals or more in the win.
Senior Haley Hunter earned the victory in goal, her first of the season.
