BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– Indiana Men's Tennis finished off the doubleheader with a win over Southern Indiana, 4-0, on Saturday night in Louisville, Kentucky.
Indiana started off the night strong with their play in doubles competition. Michael Andre and Nishanth Basavareddy would strike first, taking the win at No. 3 doubles, 6-0.
Jagger Saylor and Nikola Kolyachev would follow up with a win at No. 2 doubles, 6-3, securing the doubles point for the Hoosiers heading into singles play.
In singles play, Deacon Thomas would extend the lead with a win at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-0, to advance the lead for Indiana.
Consecutive wins from Ilya Tiraspolsky and Luc Boulier at No. 3 and No. 6 singles would secure the match victory for Indiana.
With the win, Indiana improves their record to 10-3 on the season.
Indiana will be back in action on Friday, March 8, as the Hoosiers will host Illinois State at the IU Tennis Center.
