Marshall Wins Second Big Ten Title, Two School Records Set on Final Day of Big Ten Championships

GENEVA, Ohio - Indiana track and field claimed one event title, two school records and scored in nine events on the final day of the 2024 Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Camden Marshall won his second 800-meter title after he turned on the jets in the final lap to extend his lead with a season best time of 1:47.61.
Kenisha Phillips won silver in the 400 meters with a time of 51.72 to break her own school record set earlier this season. She was also a part of the record breaking 4x400 relay team.
The Indiana women's 4x400 Relay team set the school record with a time of 3:38.57, breaking the previous record (3:39.26) set at the 2018 Big Ten Championships by Egbula, Price, Valentin and Wiles by over a second.
Antonio Laidler finished fourth in both the 60- and 200-meter races, scoring eight points for the men's squad.
Max Grangier and Garrett Messer held top-10 marks in the men's Heptathlon. Messer finished eighth overall with 5003 points to score his first individual team point for the Hoosiers as he moved into No. 9 on the all-time top-10 list. Grangier finished 10th with 4867 points as he also earned the final spot in the top-10 list.
Skylar Stidam and Austin Haskett scored points in the men's 3000 meters as they went 4-5 on the race. Freshman Aidan Lord added a sixth-place finish in the Mile as he scored his first points.
Up next, The NCAA Indoor Championships await a select group of Hoosiers in two weeks in Boston, Mass. Following championship weekend, the NCAA will announce bids to the national meet. Projected to go as of now includes the men's DMR, Jessica Mercier in the Pole Vault and Kenisha Phillips in the 400 Meters.
