Indiana Takes on Colleton River Collegiate

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf program is set to take on a 14-team field at the 12th annual Colleton River Collegiate from March 4-5 at the Nicklaus Course at the Colleton River Club in Bluffton, S.C.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Missouri is the highest-ranked team in the field at No. 34 in the latest Scoreboard Rankings powered by clippd. Indiana ranks 46th with an overall record of 65-35-1.
• Chattanooga (No. 36), Middle Tennessee State (No. 56), Kansas State (No. 61), Cincinnati (No. 62), Minnesota (No. 86), Rutgers (No. 87), Iowa State (No. 96), and Michigan State (No. 98) round out the teams ranked inside the top-100.
• The first 36 holes of the event will begin with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. ET on March 4 with continuous play. The final round will tee off at 7:50 a.m. ET on March 5.
• IU will be paired with Chattanooga and Missouri for the first day of competition.
• Indiana is one of 11 programs that played in the event last season. Chattanooga, Howard, and Middle Tennessee State are the new additions to the event IU placed t-8th a season ago.
• Al Thiess, a Michigan State golfer from 1964-68, and his wife, Willa, began the event in 2013. Al passed away in 2017, but his legacy continues through the premier tournament hosted each season.
