BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Graduate student Zoe Crouch had a pair of goals, but No. 14 Indiana came up short in a 13-8 loss to No. 3 USC on Saturday at Counsilman-Billinglsley Aquatic Center.

KEY MOMENTS

The two teams went toe-to-toe in the first half, as junior Sophia Sollie had Indiana (18-6, 0-3 MPSF) on the board first just 44 seconds into the contest. USC (15-4, 2-0 MPSF) responded with a pair of goals before sophomore Louisa Downes scored the equalizer at the 2:34 mark in the first.
Indiana's lead grew to 3-2 in the second on shot in the net from sophomore Grace Klingler but the Trojans fired off three unanswered. Senior Kallie White got one back for Indiana before the half, as it trailed 5-4.
Crouch added her second of the day coming out of the break to make things even on a 6-on-5 opportunity fed by junior Portia Sasser. The two teams would again trade goals in the third but USC went up by a three in the final 1:10 of the frame.
IU added late goals in the fourth from Crouch and junior Skylar Kidd but after three unanswered by the Trojans was too much to overcome.

NOTES

Crouch led the way with two goals as six others scored goals for Indiana. She also was one of five players with two points.
Sophomore goalie Jasmine Higgs had 10 saves in the cage.
Indiana had assists on six of its eight goals, all from different players.
