The Hoosiers took control early, building a 4-0 lead by the second inning.
Indiana's record now stands at 25-12 overall and 2-6 in the Big Ten.

KEY MOMENTS
• Indiana opened the scoring in the first inning when junior Taylor Minnick doubled off the right field wall to put her at second and junior Brianna Copeland at third. Freshman Aly VanBrandt would hit a sacrifice fly to score Copeland and put Indiana up 1-0.
• Right after that, sophomore Avery Parker singled through the left side to add another run.
• In the top of the second, junior Sarah Stone ripped a single down the left field line for her fifth RBI in two days.
• In the fourth inning, Indiana added two more runs while Michigan State got on the board for the first time to make it a 6-1 game.
• Parker hit a home run over the center field wall to score two more for the Hoosiers in the top of the fifth.
• Michigan State scored three runs in the fifth to bring the game to 8-4.
• Indiana would add on some insurance runs in the seventh inning. Parker would score on a Brooke Benson single to center. On the next play, Benson would score on a throwing error from Michigan State.
• Minnick singled up the middle to score Copeland and make the final score, 12-4.
