Indiana Men’s Tennis Concludes Play at MTSU Fall Invite

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. ––––– Indiana Men's Tennis has finished the first event of the fall season at the MTSU Fall Invite.
The Hoosiers competed against players from five different teams over the course of three days.
On day one, five Hoosiers found success in singles play, earning wins on their respective courts. Freshman Braeden Gelletich earned his first win as a Hoosier, taking the court against Kristian Thomas (MTSU) in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
During day two, three Hoosiers duos would earn wins in doubles play. Freshman Karan Raghavendra would earn his first win at Indiana alongside Nikola Kolyachev against Oliver Thoney/Giovanni Ciocca (LU), 6-4.
In singles play, All eight Hoosiers competing would sweep the competition and win on their respective courts. Freshman Matteo Antonescu earned his first collegiate win in three sets against Nick Roddy (Vandy), 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-1.
On the final day of competition, Facundo Yunis and Braeden Gelletich would start off the day with a win in doubles against Ian Cruz/Alejandro Moreno (UT), 7-6 (16). Matteo Antonsecu and Karan Raghavendra also found success in doubles play, taking the win on their court against Lance Nisbet/Jose Garcia (UT), 6-0.
In singles play, Nikola Kolyachev would earn himself a win in three sets against Ian Cruz (UT), 6-4, 2-6, 6-3. Braeden Gelletich would follow up with a win of his own against Lance Nisbet (UT), 6-0, 6-1.
Indiana will be back in action On Saturday, September 21st, to compete in the ITA All American Championships.
