Meet Central: IUTF Hosts Indiana Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana track and field teams are back in Bloomington after a competitive weekend at the Commodore Challenge to host the Indiana Invitational at Gladstein Fieldhouse on Friday (Jan. 17) and Saturday (Jan. 18).
The Hoosiers host four teams at the event including Cincinnati, Dayton, Southern Illinois and Windsor competing across 36 events. The first event will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday with the men's heptathlon. The women's pentathlon will kick off things on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
Indiana has 65 athletes slated to compete in 28 events on the men's and women's side.

THE HOOSIER LINEUP
Combined:
Sophomores Garrett Messer and Max Grangier will compete in the heptathlon with the 60 meters, long jump, shot put, high jump, 60-meter hurdles, pole vault, and the 1,000-meters.
Freshman Elle Knepp will enter in the pentathlon on the women's side with the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump, and 800 meters.
Sprints and Hurdles:
Junior Jania Hodges and Knepp will the 60-meter hurdles for the Hoosiers. John Colquitt will hurdle on the men's side.
The men's 60 meters will include Dezmone Starks, Tamer Saleh, Trelee Banks, Christian Woodson, and Novo Onovwerosuoke. Kristina Vincic, Lyric Steele, and Symone Adams are all set to compete on the women's side.
The 200 meters is stacked on both sides for the Hoosiers. Katelyn Henselmeier, Vincic, Adams, Kiera Davis, and Jania Hodges will look to set the tone for the Hoosiers. Onovwerosuoke, Banks, Starks, Woodson, and Colquitt will race on the men's side.
Continuing with the sprinters, Indiana will have plenty competition in the 400 meters. Ryann Parrish, Morgan Snow, Cambell Wamsley, Kylee Poulton, Henselmeier, Davis, and Kai Snell will compete on the women's side. Cameron Mullens, Onovwerosuoke, and CJ Martin will look to take care of the men's side.
Distance & Mid-Distance:
Nola Somers Glenn, Parrish, Amelia Dodds, and Wamsley are set to run the 600 meters with Nico Colchico, Martin, and Keefer Soehngen competing on the men's side.
The Hoosiers will have several competitors racing in the mile. Lily Myers, Michaela Quinn, Claire Overfelt, Mariah Wehrle, Joey Rastrelli, Mary Eubank, Ines Herault, Taylor Fox, and Maddie Rocchio, will all compete in the women's mile. They will be joined by Andrew Mangum, Caden Click, Dylon Nalley, and Tony Provenzano on the men's side.
Fox, Myers and sophomore Amelia Dodds will be joined by freshmen Somers Glenn, Rastrelli, Veronica Hargrave, Jessica Hegedus in the women's 800 meters. Martin Segurola, Mangum, Colchico, Keefer Soehngen, Aidan Lord, and Matt Kim will participate on the men's side.
Rocchio, Ines Herault, Quinn, Eubank, and Hegedus are set to compete in the women's 300 meters. The Hoosier men will feature Nate Killeen, Nolan Satterfield, Brayden Henkle, and Click.
Indiana will compete two quartets in each of the men's and women's 4x400 meter relay and the distance medley relay.
Jumps:
Junior Kelly Moran will compete in the long jump with Mahogany Jenkins in the triple jump.
In the high jump, Jenkins will be joined by Taylor Schoonveld, and Josie Page. Sophomore Deepak Laungani will compete on the men's side.
Pole Vault:
Tyler Carrel returns to the runway along with talented freshman Peyton McQuinn for the Hoosiers.
Throws:
The throws group looks to continue their strong start with four freshmen entering the ring.
Freshman Hannah Alexander will compete in the weight throw alongside sophomore Bridget Beyer and senior Makayla Hunter.
Seniors Tyler Reyna and Hunter Smith will return to the ring for the Hoosiers along with freshmen trio Seth Brosseau, Dane Sebert, and Nikolaos Sidirenios.
