MATCH CENTRAL: Indiana at Michigan

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's soccer starts their first of two games on the road as they travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to face Michigan. The match is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 12 and will start at 12 pm on the Big Ten Network. The Hoosiers will look to continue climbing the Big Ten standings as they enter the final stretch of the regular season.

The Wolverines recently suffered a loss at home to No. 18 Michigan State but have seen impressive results against top-25 opponents. They have forced draws in games against then No. 22 Ohio State and then No. 10 Iowa this year.
LAST TIME OUT
The Hoosiers returned home after a 0-0 draw against rival Purdue as they welcomed Northwestern to Bloomington, Ind.
Northwestern opened the scoring with a penalty goal from Caterina Regazzoni in the 31st minute, putting the Hoosiers in an early hole.
Senior forward Sarah Sirdah would have two opportunities before the half but was unable to convert. The Hoosiers entered halftime trailing 1-0 looking to regroup for the final 45'.
Freshman defender Grace Hamm found the back of the net in the 81st minute to tie the game with under 10 minutes to play.
In the final minutes, sophomore midfielder Maggie Ledwith took the opportunity off the poor Northwestern goal kick to take the ball herself. She fought off defenders to find the bottom corner, giving Indiana the 2-1 lead with little time remaining.
Graduate goalkeeper Sally Rainey made one final save to seal the 2-1 Hoosier win. This win also marked head coach Josh Rife's first conference win at the helm of Indiana women's soccer.
QUICK STATS
The Hoosiers have eight goal scorers on the season. Grace Hamm and Maggie Ledwith lead the Hoosiers with four goals each. Aleyna Quinn, Sarah Sirdah, and Abbey Iler all follow with two goals apiece. Haden Vlcek, Jenna Chatterton, and Olivia Rush have also scored for Indiana.
Ledwith leads the team in points with 10, followed by Hamm with nine. Sirdah ranks third with five points, while Quinn and Iler have four points. Olivia Rush follows with three points, while Olivia Smith, Jenna Chatterton, and Vlcek have tallied two points this season. Marisa Grzesiak, Kennedy Neighbors, Natasha Kim, Ella Stanley, and Olivia Albert also have one point apiece.
Indiana has taken 165 shots from 18 different players on the season. Ledwith leads the way with 24, followed by Neighbors and Grzesiak with 20 apiece. Hamm and Sirdah have also taken double figure shot attempts with 15 each. Quinn, Vlcek, and Kim have tallied 10 shots apiece for the Hoosiers.
Five Hoosiers have recorded over 1,000 minutes played this season. The Trio of Olivias (Albert, Rush, Smith) along with Haden Vlcek have all hit the 1,000 minute mark this season. Kennedy Neighbors and Josie Pratl have also crossed the 900 minute mark as well.
In goal, Sally Rainey and Dani Jacobson have combined for four shutouts and 51 saves on the season. Jacobson also has an additional solo shutout against Ball State.
Rainey has three games this season recording at least five saves. She has totaled 30 saves on the year.
IU is shooting 100% on their penalty kicks. Sirdah and Hamm have each of Indiana's two attempts.
