Indiana Falls to Michigan in Final Regular Season Game of 2025

ANN ARBOR, Mich. ––– Indiana Field Hockey was defeated by No. 14 Michigan in Ann Arbor on Friday evening, 3-1.
The loss moves IU's record to 9-8 and their conference record to 4-4.
KEY MOMENTS
• A Michigan goal from Abby Burnett late in the first quarter put the Wolverines up 1-0.
• Esmee de Willigen notched a goal for Michigan in the third quarter to extend Michigan's lead score to 2-0.
• Theressa Ricci sent a blocked shot in the back of the cage to put Indiana on the board. Ricci's goal moves the score to 2-1.
• Indiana pulled Sadie Canelli out of the cage in the 54th minute to take advantage of the extra forward.
• Abigail Tamer slotted a goal in the final minute and a half of play to put Michigan up 3-1.
NOTABLES
• Theresa Ricci notched her sixth goal of the 2025 season and seventh of her career.
• The Hoosiers saved more shots on goal than the Wolverines 7-2.
