Sam Landau and Facundo Yunis Ready for NCAA Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana's Sam Landau and Facundo Yunis are set to begin tournament play in the NCAA Individual Tournament starting on Nov. 18.
The doubles pair of Yunis and Landau will begin their tournament on Nov. 19, when they face off against Tanapatt Nirundom and Henry Jefferson from Florida.
Landau will open singles play against Luca Pow of Wake Forest at 9 a.m. on Nov. 18.
The singles competition will feature a field of 64 players, while the doubles competition will feature a pool of 32 teams. The tournament will take place at the UTSA National campus in Lake Nona, Florida. The competition will be hosted by the University of Central Florida and the USTA.
Landau and Yunis secured their place for the doubles championships after notching a third-place finish in the ITA sectionals last weekend in Athens, Georgia. Landau booked his trip to Lake Nona for the singles competition a month ago when he was named co-champion of the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in a five-win tournament performance, earning him Big Ten Player of the Week.
Landau is one of 10 players who qualified for the tournament in the Big Ten, while Yunis and Landau will represent one of the seven teams from the Big Ten competing in the tournament.
