East Lansing, Mich. – Indiana Women's Tennis completes play at the Spartan Invitational hosted by Michigan State on Sunday Afternoon

Junior Chase Boyer and Junior Magdalena Swierczynska found early success in doubles play on day one as they defeated opponents from Michigan State, 7-6(7-1). Five Hoosiers saw action on the court for singles, with freshman Ameia Sorey defeating her opponent from Michigan (6-4, 4-6, 6-4) and Juniors Li Hsin Lin (2-6, 6-2, 6-1) and Elisabeth Dunac ( 2-6, 6-4, 6-0) adding singles wins of their own.

Doubles pair Sorey and senior Nicole Teodosescu added a win in round one of doubles on day two, defeating competitors from UM, 6-4. As doubles play continued into round two, three Hoosier pairs fell in competition with their opponents.

Indiana rallied into singles play on day two, taking home three victories on Saturday against contenders from MSU. Dunac would add her second singles win of the weekend, defeating her opponent in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1. She continued momentum into day three, with success over Xavier would lead her to go undefeated throughout the weekend in singles play.

Sunday proved to be a day for singles success, as Sorey finished her weekend with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over E. DeFord of XU. Swierczynska added her first singles win of the weekend, defeating S. Mazzucato (XU), 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Boyer would round out the weekend for the Hoosiers with a win of her own, triumphing N. Knezevic (UM), 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.

Indiana Women's Tennis will continue play Monday, November 3rd with a road trip to Lincoln, Neb.
