Hoosiers Improve to 6-0 With Win over FGCU

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Senior guard Shay Ciezki and redshirt sophomore guard Lenée Beaumont combined for 49 points as Indiana got past FGCU, 82-64, and remained a perfect 6-0 for the 2025-26 season.

KEY MOMENTS
- Indiana (6-0) took an early lead but foul trouble and turnovers led FGCU to a 16-13 lead after one.
- The offense ramped up in the second quarter after the game was tied 23-all at the media timeout, the Hoosiers would outscore the Eagles (1-3), 11-5, in the remainder of the first half.
- Senior guard Shay Ciezki and redshirt sophomore guard Lenée Beaumont combined for 15 of IU's 21 points in the second quarter to take a to 34-28 lead at the break.
- It was all IU in the third, who posted a 21-10 advantage, as its lead grew with back-to-back 3-pointers from Ciezki and Beaumont as part of an 8-0 run.
- The lead was as many as 25 late in the third quarter as it took a 62-38 lead into the fourth. All available players got off the bench in the Tuesday afternoon matchup.
NOTABLE
- Ciekzi paved the way for Indiana with a team-high 26 points, four assists and two steals. She has scored 20 or more points in four of IU's six games this season.
- Beaumont matched a career-high 23 points and went a perfect 5-for-5 from the 3-point line.
- Indiana picks up its first win in the series with Florida Gulf Coast, in just the second meeting between the two programs and first since 2010.
- Sophomore forward Zania Socka-Nguemen had nine points and a team-high seven rebounds as Indiana won the battle of the boards. 32-29.
- Sophomore guard Phoenix Stotijn tied a season-high six points and had three assists. It was part of IU's season-high 17 assists in the win.
- Junior forward Jade Ondineme made her first career appearance in the win.
