LUBBOCK, Texas ––– After striking first for an early 1-0 lead on Sunday afternoon, No. 12 Texas Tech pulled away for a 7-2 victory at Rocky Johnson Field.
The Hoosiers went 2-2 on the weekend with their season mark now standing at 10-3.

KEY MOMENTS
• The game was all defense through the first two frames as Indiana and Texas Tech had a 0-0 game entering the third inning.
• Indiana got on the board first as Melina Wilkison doubled to left field and brought home Madalyn Strader to put the team up 1-0 in the top of the third.
• Texas Tech scored all seven of their runs in the fifth inning from a bases loaded walk and two home runs. Alana Johnson hit a grand slam and Bailey Lindemuth hit a two-run home run to make it a 7-1 game.
• Jenae Berry threw two strikeouts in the sixth inning to keep the Red Raiders at bay after entering the circle.
• Alex Cooper laid down a perfect bunt that died at the foul line at the start of the inning for a single.
• Just two at bats later, Wilkison hit her second double of the day in the top of the seventh inning to score Cooper and make it 7-2.

• Wilkison went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
