Indiana Drops Weekend Finale to Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. ––– Indiana fell short in its final game at the Tiger Invitational, losing 8-0, in six innings to Clemson on Sunday afternoon at McWhorter Stadium.
The Hoosiers went 2-2 on the weekend with wins over Lafayette and East Carolina and two losses to Clemson.
With the loss, Indiana's season record now stands at 12-5.
CLEMSON 8, INDIANA 0 (F/6)
KEY MOMENTS
• It was a quiet start to the game until Clemson opened the scoring with a two-run home run from Ava Wilson in the bottom of the second.
• The Tigers added two more runs to make it 4-0 in the bottom of the third on a double from Aby Vieria.
• Clemson went up 6-0 on a 2-run home run off the bat of Maddie Moore in the bottom of the fourth inning.
• The Hoosiers got two runners in scoring position in the top of the fifth inning with Kinsey Mitchell on third and Cassidy Kettleman on second. Indiana could not capitalize, though and the score remained 6-0.
• The Tigers added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to close out the game at an 8-0 run rule.
NOTABLES
• Jasmine Reyes, Taylor Hess and Brianna Copeland all saw time in the circle for the Hoosiers.
