3/20/2025 7:06:00 PM | Women's Swimming and Diving
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Senior Anna Peplowski is the top qualifier in Thursday (March 20) night's 500-yard freestyle championship final after an assertive morning swim at the 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships inside the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
Peplowski's 4:33.93 in prelims was the fastest swim by 94 hundredths as she seeks her second-straight NCAA medal following her third place finish a year ago.
Coming in as the No. 19 seed in the 500 free, senior Ching Hwee Gan trimmed 1.5 seconds of her personal best time to finish seventh in the prelim in 4:36.97 and join Peplowski in the championship final. Gan previously finished seventh in the event in 2023.
Junior Kristina Paegle will swim the consolation final of the 50-yard freestyle after her morning 21.72, nine hundredths off her program record set during her run to the Big Ten title in February.
Sophomore Ella Roselli earned first-time All-America honors, placing sixth in the 1-meter prelim with a score of 282.05 to sneak into the consolation final.
Indiana will also compete in the 200-yard freestyle relay, seeded No. 10 as it looks for a third top 10 relay this week.
