
Ten Hoosier Swimmers, All Five Relays Qualify for NCAA Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 7-ranked Indiana women's swimming and diving will send 10 swimmers and all five relays to the 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships following the NCAA's announcement of selections to the national meet on Wednesday (March 5).
The four-day meet will run March 19-22 inside the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington. Indiana can secure additional qualifiers via the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, March 10-12 in Columbus, Ohio.
IU will have a representative in every swimming event as well as multiple swimmers in nine events. Three Hoosiers are qualified in each of the following: the 50-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke.
Hoosiers own nine top-10 seeds in their events. Senior Anna Peplowski is the top seed in the 200-yard freestyle after swimming a Big Ten meet record 1:40.69 at the Big Ten Championships. Peplowski is also the No. 5 seed in the 500 free (4:33.86) and No. 9 in the 100 free (47.37). Sophomore Miranda Grana also has three top-10 seeds, qualifying sixth in the 100-yard butterfly (50.80), seventh in the 200 back (1:50.50) and ninth in the 100 back (50.69).
After medaling in the 1,650-yard freestyle at each of the last two NCAA Championships, senior Ching Hwee Gan comes into the meet as the No. 4 seed in her top event with her Big Ten title-winning time of 15:46.22. She will also look to sneak into the scoring as the No. 19 seed in the 500 free (4:37.49).
Junior Kristina Paegle ranks No. 8 in the 50-yard freestyle after reclaiming the program record in 21.63 at Big Tens during her run to the conference title. Senior and 200-yard breaststroke conference co-champion Brearna Crawford is the No. 10 seed in her crowning event, posting a 2:07.22 at the Big Ten meet.
All five of Indiana's relays rank top-10 nationally, led by the No. 5-seeded 400 medley relay. IU set a time of 3:26.64 to win the event at the Big Ten Championships.
