INDIANAPOLIS – No. 16-ranked Indiana rowing finished fourth at the 2025 Big Ten Championships Sunday (May 18) at the Indianapolis Rowing Center on the Eagle Creek Reservoir, its fourth consecutive top four finish.
Indiana finished the regatta with 158 points, 18 points ahead of fifth place Ohio State. IU's top boats, the Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight, led the way, each finishing fourth in the two top-scoring grand finals. Washington won the title in its first Big Ten Championships, sweeping the events and earning 264 points.
Three Hoosiers earned All-Big Ten awards. Senior Annabel Oertel and sophomore Lilly Murphy earned first-team honors, while sophomore Nico Daly received a second-team selection. Oertel and Daly are both now two-time All-Big Ten honorees. Senior Lily Haupt was Indiana's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner.
Indiana will wait till Tuesday to find out if has earned a bid to what would be a fourth consecutive NCAA Championships. The Big Ten has sent at least four programs to the national regatta nine of the last 10 seasons (not counting the canceled 2020 regatta).
