BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's soccer welcomes Ball State to Bloomington, Ind. on August 21st at Bill Armstrong Stadium as the Hoosiers will look for their second win on the season. The match is set to start at 5 p.m. ET.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS
The Cardinals enter a rebuild year under new head coach Andy Stoots. Stoots comes into the program with three new transfers and seven freshmen. Ball State currently holds a 0-1 record, losing their home opener to Purdue 2-5.
LAST TIME OUT
The Hoosiers will take the pitch for the first time since their season opener a week ago in a 6-1 rout of Youngstown State.
Sophomore Haden Vlcek wasted no time putting the Indiana up early with her goal in the seventh minute of play. after her header was saved by the goalkeeper, Vlcek was able to get the putback goal to take a 1-0 lead.
The remainder of the first half was a defensive battle. Teh IU backline held strong allowing zero shot attempts through the first 45 minutes from Youngstown State.
Indiana wasted no time out of the break, as Sophomore Maggie Ledwith scored her first career goal within the first minute of play.
Freshman Grace Hamm and Ledwith set up Sophomore Aleyna Quinn for her first goal as a Hoosier to lead 3-0 in the 46th minute.
Ledwith kept the scoring going with her second goal of the game. This pushed the Hoosier lead to 4-0.
Senior Sarah Sirdah got in on the action as she cashed in on a penalty shot in the 75th minute.
Youngstown State would enter the scoring column when Baylee Williams found the back of the net in the 80th minute.
Sirdah found the back of the net to cap off a 6-1 victory in the final minute of play.
