Indiana Field Hockey Falls to No. 1 Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. ––– Indiana fell in a hard-fought battle on Friday, dropping their game against No. 1 Northwestern, 5-0.
The loss brings Indiana's record to 4-5 and their conference record to 0-2.
KEY MOMENTS
• Maddie Zimmer recorded a goal in the second minute of play on an assist from Olivia Bent-Cole to put Northwestern up 1-0.
• IsleTromp scored on a penalty corner in the eighth minute from an assist by Zimmer, putting the Wildcats up 2-0. Ashley Sessa inserted the penalty corner.
• Northwestern's Ashley Sessa notched a goal in the 23rd minute on an assist from Piper Borz to extend Northwestern's lead to 3-0.
• On a pass from Bent-Cole, Sessa found the back of the cage again in the 24th minute, putting Northwestern up 4-0.
• Bent-Cole slotted a goal in the 32nd minute, extending Northwestern's lead to 5-0. Sessa recorded the assist.
NOTABLES
• Kai Killian recorded three saves in the contest, her first start since Maine (Sep. 1).
• Three Hoosiers recorded shots on goal: Anna Mozeleski, Theresa Ricci and Inés Garcia Prado.
• Ricci led the team with two shots on goal.
• IU held the Wildcats to no goals in the fourth quarter.
