No. 10 Hoosier To Open Season At Polopalooza

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 10 Indiana water polo will open the 2026 season this weekend when it takes part in Polopalooza hosted by Fresno State.

NOTES

The Hoosiers will kick off the season with an exhibition game and pair of regular season games in Fresno. They will face Hawaii in exhibition action on Friday night before countable games start Saturday against host Fresno State and finish on Sunday against UC Irvine.
Indiana returns a solid core from last season's campaign including senior goalie Jasmine Higgs who recorded 202 saves last season.
On the offensive attack, senior attackers Louisa Downes (58 goals, 44 assists, 16 DEX) and Grace Klingler (40 goals, team-high 44 steals, 29 assists) both posted impressive junior campaigns and will return to anchor the front line.
Senior center Nicole Tyner will highlight IU's middle as she returns from a 31 goals season in 2024-25.
IU comes in the CWPA preseason poll at No. 10 in the release of the poll out this week.
