• Iowa (12-5, 2-4 B1G) is under the direction of first-year head coach Ben McCollum. He won four Division II national championships (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022) in 15 seasons at Northwest Missouri State.

• The Hawkeyes are led by projected first-round draft pick Bennett Stirtz. The senior guard has averaged 17.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.5 assists per contest.

Series History
• The Hoosiers lead the all-time series between the two long-time Big Ten foes with 107 wins compared to 83 setbacks. Iowa is one of five programs (Northwestern, 120; Ohio State, 114; Michigan, 111; Minnesota; 111) in which Indiana has defeated at least 100 times in program history.

• IU has won three of the last four meetings against Iowa in Bloomington, including a 74-68 result in the last meeting on Jan. 30, 2024.

Last Time Out
• Indiana (12-5, 3-3 B1G) was tied at 53-53 with 11:19 to play in the second half at No. 12/12 Michigan State. The Spartans rattled off a 28-2 run over the next nine minutes of play to hand the Hoosiers an 81-60 setback at the Breslin Center on Tuesday, Jan. 13.

• Fifth-year senior guard Lamar Wilkerson was the lone Hoosier in double figures with 19 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the 3-point line. Through six Big Ten Conference games, the Sam Houston State transfer has averaged a league-high 26.0 points per contest.

• Redshirt senior forward Tucker DeVries added nine points and three assists. Senior forward Reed Bailey put up five points and a team-high seven rebounds.

The Drake Connection
• Indiana head men's basketball coach Darian DeVries began his head coaching career at Drake in 2018-19. In his six seasons on the sideline, he posted a record 150-55. His final four seasons with the Bulldogs saw the program secure 108 wins (27 wins per season) to pair with three NCAA Tournament trips. He won 70.5% (79-33) of his Missouri Valley Conference games and claimed three MVC titles.

• Iowa head coach Ben McCollum took over the Bulldog program for the 2024-25 season. He went 31-4 in his lone season in Des Moines and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

• Each of the last three Drake head coaches now reside at Big Ten schools with Nico Medved at Minnesota, DeVries at Indiana, and McCollum at Iowa.

Big Ten Brilliance
• Fifth-year senior guard Lamar Wilkerson has averaged a league-best 26.0 points per night in Big Ten Conference play this season. He has shot 49.0% (51-of-104) from the floor, 46.7% (28-of-60) from the 3-point line, and 92.9% (26-of-28) from the free throw line in league play.

• His scoring output is ninth nationally in conference play and second among major conference players (Josh Hubbard, Mississippi State).

• The Sam Houston State transfer has scored 15-plus points in all six conference games, has scored at least 20 points four times, added a 32-point night against No. 10 Nebraska (Jan. 10), and went for a career-best 44 points against Penn State (Dec. 9).

• Wilkerson leads all Big Ten players in total points (156), points per game (26.0), made 3-pointers (28), and 3-point shooting percentage (46.7%) in league play.
