BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No.71 ranked Indiana (8-2) women's tennis team split its matches on Friday in Chicago, losing to UIC and picking up a win against Chicago State.

- Against UIC (6-4), Indiana was unable to keep the pace after clinching the doubles point. Doubles No.1 and No.2 featuring Hi'ilani Williams/Alessandra Teodosescu (6-2) and Li Hsin Lin/Ameia Sorey (6-4), respectively, gave the Hoosiers what they needed to claim the point.
- Despite freshman Ameia Sorey clinching No.1 singles (6-1,6-4) and junior Chase Boyer taking home a win of her own at No.6 singles (6-4,6-1),It dropped four of six singles matches to close out the contest with UIC taking the 4-3 advantage.
