BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's tennis improves to 5-0, the best start since the 2018 season, after dominating a strong West Virginia (4-1) team, at the Indiana Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.

- Freshman Hi'ilani Williams and freshman Alessandra Teodosescu started strong at No.1 doubles, going on a 4-0 streak before letting their opponent take a game. The duo continued its strength through the finish, taking their match 6-3.
- Junior Elisabeth Dunac and junior Li Hsin Lin also saw success in doubles play against their WVU opponent, clinching doubles No.2, 6-1, to give the Hoosiers the doubles point and put 1-0 on the board.
- Williams shut out her opponent in the first set of singles No. 5, giving the Hoosiers a strong start to singles play. She took the match 6-1 to add one to score, giving Indiana the 2-0 edge.
- Freshman Ameia Sorey allowed Moutama of WVU to win just two games in their contest, both of which occurred in the first set. She clinched singles No. 1 (6-2,6-0), to make the match 3-0 Indiana.
- Senior Nicole Teodosescu got it done at singles No. 4, claiming a 6-1,6-2 victory to advance the Hoosier's advantage to four points (4-0).
- Dunac took singles No. 3 to a tie breaker set, completing a hard-fought win 4-6,6-1, 1-0 (10-3).
- Junior Chase Boyer fought through a tie-breaker set of her own after the first two sets went 4-6,7-5. She got the job done to help Indiana bring home a 6-1 victory.
