Indiana Continues Action Against West Virginia, Virginia Tech

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's tennis is slated to host West Virginia and Virginia Tech in Friday and Sunday matches, respectively, at the IU Tennis Center.
The Hoosiers will open their weekend against West Virginia (4-0) on Friday at 4 p.m. and will continue play on Sunday at 12 p.m. against Virginia Tech 1-0 They are coming off four wins in back-to-back weekends at home and look to improve to a 6-0 record at the conclusion of the weekend.

Series History
When facing West Virginia, IU is 1-2 overall. The pair last met in the 2024 season, where they were defeated 2-5. It has only faced Virginia Tech one time, with the last meeting being during the 2025 season where they fell 0-4 on the road.
Notes
- Freshman Alessandra Teodosescu saw doubles play success in both matches of Indiana's double-header on Saturday. Alongside freshman Hi'ilani Williams, she was able to clinch No.1 doubles against Cincinnati (6-4) and EKU (6-2).
- In her singles rally against Cincinnati, Teodosescu clinched a hard fought, 3-set match (1-6, 6-3, 6-2) at singles No.2 to help Indiana bring the score to 3-1, helping it finish 5-1 overall against the Bearcats.
- Williams clinched her match against her EKU opponent (6-0,6-1) to go undefeated on the day in singles and doubles play, while allowing her opponent to take just one set to give the Hoosiers their first singles point, giving them the edge to finish the match 4-0. Williams is currently undefeated in her collegiate career after success last weekend.
- Senior Nicole Teodosescu clinched wins of her own, defeating Watanabe of Cincinnati (6-4,6-2) to add points on the board. Additionally, she overcame her EKU opponent (6-4,6-3). Freshman Ameia Sorey also added a win against EKU (6-3, 6-2).
