NOTES
- The Hoosiers got a career night from freshman guard Nevaeh Caffey and another 30-point performance from senior Shay Ciezki to pick up the 77-74 win at Wisconsin on Wednesday. Caffey had a season-high 16 points in the effort while Ciezki put up her seventh 30-point game of the season.
- IU will look to even the season series with Purdue as it fell in the first meeting, 80-69, two weeks ago (Jan. 25). The Hoosiers hold a 12-game win streak at home against its in-state, in-conference rival, not having lost a game at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in the series since 2011-12.
- Indiana continues to be one of the best field goal shooting teams in the Big Ten this season. It ranks second overall in 3-point field goal percentage (.382) thanks in part to a 47.1 percent clip from beyond the arc from senior guard Shay Ciezki. The Hoosiers are also shooting 47.8 percent from the floor, which ranks sixth in the league. They have shot 50 percent or better on 11 occasions including the last three-straight games.
- Senior guard Shay Ciezki continues to be one of the nation's best scorers. She is the Big Ten's leading scorer (and fourth nationally) with 23.6 points per game also ranks second in the nation in scoring (573 points). Ciezki is now 11th in a single season in points scored and is 38 points away from becoming IU's 34th member of the 1,000 point club. For her career, Ciezki has scored 1,719 points.
- She is part of the elusive 50/40/90 club, as she shoots 54.5 percent from the floor, 43.4 percent from the 3-point line and 90.2 percent at the free throw line.
The Hoosiers head west to play USC (Feb. 12) and UCLA (Feb. 15) in Los Angeles.
