BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The No. 60-ranked Indiana men's tennis team is set to start its West Coast road trip Friday, March 13, at 5 p.m. PT against the No. 45-ranked Oregon Ducks.
The Hoosiers have been one of the best doubles teams in the nation so far this season, claiming the doubles point in nine of their 11 matches, including both matches against USC and UCLA to open Big Ten play. At No. 1, Sam Landau and Jip van Assendelft hold the No. 33 ITA ranking with a 4-1 dual record, while Michael Andre and Matteo Antonescu at No. 2 are right behind them as the No. 57-ranked team this week with a 7-2 dual record.
In singles, senior Sam Landau has continued to shine at No. 1 for the Hoosiers. At No. 6 singles, redshirt freshman Aidan Atwood has made his presence known, posting a 2-0 record in his first two Big Ten matches to improve his season tally to 5-1 in dual matches.
Indiana enters the match with a 6-5 record following tight losses at home to No. 26 UCLA, 4-2, and No. 22 USC, 4-3. Oregon enters the match with a 10-3 record.
