Big Ten Celebrates 52 Hoosiers for Academic Excellence

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Big Ten Conference recognized a total of 1,127 students on winter sports rosters who have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team Wednesday (March 18).
The list of honorees includes 83 men's and 119 women's basketball students, 98 men's ice hockey students, 59 men's and 146 women's gymnastics students, 154 men's and 251 women's swim and dive students, and 217 wrestling students.
A total of 52 Indiana University student-athletes from five sports earned Winter Academic All-Big Ten honors.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
