IU Back at Home to Face Iowa, Nebraska

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's tennis is back at home to host a pair of ranked conference foes, starting on Friday at 4 p.m. with No.45 ranked Iowa, and closing on Sunday at 12 p.m. against No. 48-ranked Nebraska.
Both contests will be played at the IU Outdoor Tennis Center in Bloomington, Ind.

The cream and crimson are 28-14 against the Iowa Hawkeyes, falling 1-6 in their last meeting in 2024. Against Nebraska, it is 3-6, dropping the last four matches.

Notes
- Last weekend, the Hoosiers traveled to Illinois to face Northwestern and Illinois, falling to both opponents. Play started against Northwestern on Saturday, with Indiana starting out with a 1-0 advantage after taking the doubles point, including a win against a No.27 ranked duo at court number one, featuring freshman pairing Alessandra Teodosescu and Hi'ilani Williams (6-3). It went back-and-forth in singles play, until freshman Ameia Sorey dropped singles No.1 in the third set against No.87 ranked Margot Phanthala, (7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (11-9)), concluding the contest with a 4-3 result, favoring Northwestern.
- On Sunday against Illinois, IU clinched the doubles point to take the early lead, but was unable to keep the momentum as all singles courts fell, ending the contest 1-4.
- Iowa features a No.28 ranked doubles pairing of Daianne Hayashida and Mia Mack. Mack is also ranked No.57 in singles play.
